Great product, works well if you have clean lawn without branches and sticks
I received it today, put it together per the specifications, It was super easy to put together out of the box. It worked extremely well and did a great job cutting the grass as it was designed. prior to cutting the grass, I removed the few sticks under the trees and bushes so as to not get caught in the cutting blades when cutting. There were some tall weeds in the grass so I circled back and forth over the weeds until they were all cut. Now I just need to use the gas trimmer to cut around the edges of the lawn... The product works well and my lawn is as smooth as the neighboring golf course but with the grass just a little bit higher since I cut the grass at almost maximum height as the first cutVerified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Needs adjustment
This is a lightweight mower that is very easy to push and cuts grass very well--when it is not jamming. I believe it needs an adjustment as it cuts very well for a few feet, then suddenly jams and will only cut if you go back and forth. There is no twig etc. in the reel, it just seizes up and becomes very difficult to move. It will then go back to mowing properly only seize up again. I tried adjusting the cutting bar but cannot find the sweet spot for that. This was a used mower and needed adjusted before being resold but apparently this was not done.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Keep looking for a reel-type mower.
This was supposed to replace a 50+ year old real mower. It doesn't do a better job. The collection basked is the only advantage. And this one is shiny and new. I would not buy this again. Sorry.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
