A seldom seen treasure.
I've always wondered why the BBC never repeated these shows when we are always seeing repeats of Dad's Army. Probably they would not be considered "politically correct" enough for today's viewers. But you'd have to be entirely devoid of a sense of humour if you found anything to upset you here. Arthur Lowe was a wonderful actor and here he was at his best. Sadly, he never lived to complete a second series. There was a second series which was included in this package, and though it was amusing it just showed what Lowe could bring to a part with his unique talent. If you like gentle, clean, comedy and you come across this set you would do well to grab it before it disappears!

Not the best thing Arthur Lowe did in his long time as one of the 70s/80s great comedy actors. Ok for some laughs but will never better Dads Army.
