At the beginning of 1930, the British army made the decision to produce tanks for different roles, with production of the A12 "Matilda" beginning in 1936. Because of the strength of their armor, the Germans began to use 88mm guns which were the only weapons that could penetrate the Matilda.

The hull has a lot of well detailed parts . It comes with a crew of three. You come with options for four Matilda's to choose from.

Brilliant kit
The best kit I've built so far. Superb moulds with almost zero flash and seams. Faultless fit makes it nearly impossible to go wrong. Also the first tank where I didn't use a photo etch kit as it doesn't really need it.

Rewarding when done right.
Good little kit with lots of detail, just a shame that most of it becomes un-seeable when the build of the model is completed, but that is the nature of building accurate scale modelling. Paint job on it is very exacting to get right, with lots of masking up, so be prepared.

Another good quality kit from Tamiya, with their usual excellent fit of parts. Instructions are excellent, as are the decals. You can build a lovely model straight out of the box, or buy some of the after-market photoetch that is available,
