The nitrogen purged and filled body is sealed to provide a fog free, weatherproof environment regardless of conditions. This sight can perform in the dry heat of the desert, the stifling humid heat of the equator, and the biting cold closer to the poles. The lens covers and a sun shade that screws into the body of the scope protect the lens. For shooters who are partial to the 3x32mm red dot sight but want to reach a little farther out, Burris developed the 5x36mm. If you are a lawman, military personnel, or competitive shooter who wants to extend your reach, the Burris AR-536 5x36mm Riflescope can help to deliver just what you need for a range of conditions. Light conditions are no longer a major factor. It does not matter if your target is in the shadows of night, the low light dawn or dusk, or the bright midday sun. Thanks to its proprietary lens coating, the riflescope can offer a crisp, clear image. The compact, fast acquisition optic allows for accurate sightings at distant targets. The Ballistic CQ reticle features holdover dots that are good out to 600 yards. The scopes can also be used with both eyes open, which can dramatically cut target acquisition time for close objects. For those individuals without perfect vision, the focusing eyepiece with adjustable diopter is an extremely useful feature. With the one third minute of angle per click correction, the windage and elevation can have a full range adjust of 60 MOA. For faster target acquisition close up, the designers combined 5x magnification for distance shooting with an illuminated dot. Whether up close or distant, the red or green illuminated reticle is the key to rapidly acquiring a clear shot. To ensure visibility in all environments, the sight lighting system uses a 10 position, which includes five for each power selection. The reticle is etched into the lens glass and is usable without the need for power or a battery. With illumination, the scope can be set to red dot or green dot. Without light, it reverts to black. The illumination uses a CR2030 lithium battery, which operates for up to 200 hours on high and 500 hours on medium. The scope, in matte finish, is normally mounted to the receiver of an rifle. Remove the detachable base, and the scope can be attached directly to the handle. As an added bonus, the scope comes with Picatinny rail mounts. This allows piggybacking of additional accessories, such as sights, lights, or lasers. When it comes time to spot a target, this scope can get the job done.Product Identifiers

Burris AR586 5x36 scope
I was looking for an optic with enough magnification and an actual reticle (instead of just a red dot) to help my nearly 70-year old eyes, and this product is a perfect fit. Well-made and easy to use.....came with no instructions but I figured it out pretty easily. There is a choice of three reticles: a permanently-etched black one in the glass, red, and green. I can use the black reticle without the battery on, or if my target has the kind of background that makes the black hard to see, I can switch to the colors. Brightness is easily controlled and illumination looks real good to me. This is a solid unit and some users may not like the weight. I don't mind. I found the eye relief to be OK....with the extra 5x magnification my stock weld is the same as it is for my other scope that I have as a backup, so o adjustment was required. I recommend this product if you need extra magnification and a reticle to better aim at your target, instead of a tiny dot. Burris 5X AR-536 Scope
Sits much too high to get a cheek weld on an AR15. Eye relief is limited in that a BUIS can hardly be used because the sight has to be mounted too far forward. Mounts solidly to a carry handle, but it is really high mounted there. Great focusing, clear glass, a little heavy. Could not remove the rails, the screws wanted to round out before the thread locker would turn loose. Great scope

Good scope....bad eye relief
This is a really nice scope but you have to literally get your eye almost in direct contact with the scope to get the full eye relief. This can makes stock and hand adjustments akward for AR users depending on how your gun is set up. Another excellent optic from Burris!
I was looking for a fixed power scope for my AR10. I have a 3x Burris 332 on a .300 AAC and it has been an outstanding optic but I wanted more magnification for a .308. The 5x 536 fits the bill very well. I like that,while it can illuminated the retical, no illumination(and therefore battery) is nessesary. It's a very clear optic with an easy to use BDC. Solid, steady, clear and worth the $
So far very pleased with this scope. Was also pleased that it was less than 2 inches off as-mounted and required less than 5 shots to get set up. After zeroed, I shot 200 rounds and adjustment stayed set. I was shooting in 30 degree weather, no fogging when I put the rifle in my car - good sign. It is a bit on the heavy side but that is not an issue for a rifle that will will not be trekking across vast expanses on a daily basis - and if you refrain from hanging too many gadgets on the rifle, you will be in even better shape.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

RT-6 is best 1-6x for the money!
I have a Many scopes, including the vortex strike eagle, and the Burris M-tac. The RT-6, with the ballistic AR retical and extended throw lever Is by far my favorite scope for the price point! The combo with the fastfire three and Burris mount are an excellent value. I put it on my AR-15 in 300 blackout. I used the red dot on one of my handguns, because the one power on the scope works just as good as a red dot. You will not be disappointed in this scope!

Burris’s Prisim Sight Rocks
This is an awsome scope for the price I paid. The recticle works great and is very clear. The eye relief is abought 3” and works great for me.( Some reviews said it was too short ) over all a great scope. I would buy it again.
