Excellent item. Tools required on listing would have been helpful tho.
The clear light looks so much better than the dated red. The red Lee's are really bright, looks awesome! Fitting it is a bit fiddly but easily do-able even for a novice. You will need Philips screwdriver and an 8 inch extra deep socket. Also be careful not to over tighten or you could end up cracking it in the middle (a friend of mine did this).

Flimsy
I bought this in March to pass the MOT. i understand that you should not overtighten the bolts as it would put undue pressure on the housing, so was fitted correctly. Two months later it has fallen apart. as did the first origonal BMW light (after 14 years is acceptable). I am going to araldite this one and see if it holds out as I dont really trust getting a replacement as the design is poor anyway.. It seems to be a cheaply made plasticy part which is sold at a premium price. Very disapointing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

BMW Genuine Parts are the way to go
The difference between the Genuine BMW Parts and another supplier, is that the BMW parts fits and the electronic connection clips in perfectly. And I took me less than 15 minutes to fit. I had absolutely no issues taking out original unit .. took my time by taking off plastic covers under boot lid enabling me to access nuts behind brake light .
