Only been using this for a few months but very pleased with the performance. A must to speed up boot up times especially with endless updates and reboots needed. Very easy to install. Have bought more expensive SSDs and quite frankly can't notice much difference in the performance. I will therefore consider getting another of these if I have need. Will be interested to see how good the longevity is. With plenty of use I am expected at least a few years but time will tell.
SSD's in general are the way to go, far quicker than mechanical harddrives. You must have a more recent motherboard though that you can set ahci listed in bios to configure it properly (read up on this)or the flash nand technology will be severely impaired. Cursing your drive to have a sufficiently reduced life span. I personally and this is only my leaning is that I prefer a marvell controller to sandforce. again read up on this if your interested. Ultra plus is one of these. Yes they are more expensive,but as far as i'am concerned worth every penny...never had any problems with them I've got three.
This product is excellent, in my experience. It has seamlessly replaced my bootable HDD and the speed at loading executable programmes is amazing. Due to its relatively small capacity (120Gb) by modern standards, I just have to remember to store "slow" items, like text files, photos, films and music onto, the mechanical hard drive (1Tb) it replaced.
