Great paring knife
It's a folding paring knife, not a good choice as a multi-use pocket knife BUT it's GREAT for peeling apples or slicing off chunks of cheese. It holds a keen edge, the blade is thin (thus limiting it's versatility as a pocketknife) and is perfect for what it was made for. The round handle indexes well in a small to medium hand but is prominent in a pocket (imagine a roll of pennies) although a #6 will tuck into a lunch box/bag quite well. Mine came with a prominent wire edge that took almost 20 min to reduce using a ceramic rod, chef's steel and leather stop. Dispite that, it was perfectly sharp enough for its purpose out of the box. The open-grained handle limits regular kitchen duty though I will be looking at Opinel's kitchen line based on this purchase... great paring knives are hard to come by.
