A great little aid for replacing cast Iron drain covers for downpipes.
In the absence of the old cast iron drain covers, (which I don't think you can get any more) these can be cut to any shape within their size with tin snips. The bigger plastic covers that you can also buy, are too big, and in my case would obstruct the walkway which they need to be placed. They are also excellent for fitting into the T pieces in plastic guttering to prevent debris from blocking the downpipe whilst allowing the water to drain away. I bought this because I spent an afternoon cleaning my outside kitchen drain which was blocked. Having got my drain flowing freely decided ok n an extra cover to prevent any debris entering drain. It works a treat and all small debris rests on the cover and cannot enter the drain, so it was money well spent. Drain guards that are fit for purpose
Easy to fit - and very efficient in preventing leaves causing blockages in drain. Being metal the leaves don't stick either - they just mostly blow away.
