Far superior to the other more flimsy products I checked out previously
Good solid construction, far superior to the other more flimsy products I checked out at B&Q and Wickes. Great that they come pr-drilled for taps and feed pipes (one each side with a stopper for the unused hole) and these items were also included in the kits but the icing on the cake is a really good solid one piece stand for each butt. Far better than the difficult to level 3 piece types which often have to be screwed together in order to maintain their integrity. Very easy to fit with complete instructions and so far not a single drip of water has leaked from anywhere with both butts already full to the brim. Very, very satisfied with these and highly recommended even if you have to pay just a little bit more - don't skimp by buying inferior products and you won't find yourself having to buy again..!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not 100% but a good compromise.
In this case, the objective was always to install 400 litres capacity or more following the loss of a 500 litre tank. This product, because it was sold as a pair, met the requirement, hence purchase. However, it does seem the butts were not designed with tandem use in mind. OK, so they can be connected (and were) using the 10 and 2 o'clock moulded outlets, but for this installation, outlets at 9 and 3 o'clock would have been better as the connection would have been a short straight near the front and not an elbow at the rear. Manufacturing with the 2 extra outlets would much improve installation versatility. The stands which came with the package looked OK but due to a local storage requirement, were not suitable for use. (see arrangement in photos.

Few ifs and butts
A good solid water butt, tapers from the top with a full size lid, meaning that you can reach inside to make the bottom connections. There are two holes for the filling inlet, at 12 and 9 o-clock if the tap is at 6 which wasn't convenient for my application, but it's easy to make new holes, and the pre-cut holes have plugs provided. The stand is a single piece which is much more stable that the competing ones made of 4 'interlocking' pieces.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
