Good Headband Magnifier for a reasonable sum!
I bought this headband magnifier after looking at many of them as I sometimes need that extra bit of magnification for my jewellery work. This one has slightly different magnification to most of the others available on the market, it has 1.2x, 1.8x rather than 1x, 1.5x and two or three others above that that I don't use but that could be useful depending on what I am using it for! I ascertained I actually need 1.3x but I could not find one that did 1.3x for the amount of money I had available. It is reasonably comfortable to use for long periods of time and absolutely fine for short ones and I think mostly they are all reasonable, even the much more expensive ones that one can't change the lenses on very easily are also only reasonable if worn for very long periods of time. You can wear it over glasses if you need to and it is easy to flip up the lens if you want to. I didn't bother putting batteries in for the light as when I tried it (it came with batteries) I didn't think it gave off enough light to warrant bothering and it adds to the weight but this is not a problem for me as I have good lighting to start with. All in all I am very pleased with it and it was excellent value.
