SynopsisThis classic, authoritative translation brings the full meaning and power of the sacred book of Islam to Western readers. "Certainly the most beautiful English version, and among those by non-Muslim translators, the one that comes closest to conveying the impressions made on Muslims by the original".--Wilfred Cantwell Smith, Harvard University.

I know almost nothing of Islam. The only way to know what someone really believes, is to go to the source. This translation is (from what I read) is the most scholarly/dry/unaltered translation of the text into English. I have just started reading it, and what I am reading is different than what we (non Muslims) have been told about Islam Don't take my word, don't take someone else's word. = You read it, and you decide what to think.
