The placement of the projector takes up little room as the 3,000 lumens of light display onto a projection screen the 1080p Full HD image from the projector’s position on a table near the floor or mounted discreetly from the ceiling. At 3,000 lumens, low light still filters into the room without disruption. The on-screen display menu offers multiple language choices for easy selections when customizing the projector settings. ViewSonic incorporates DLP technology to preserve image quality and a six-segment color wheel for a sharp, vibrant picture. The brightest mode allows clarity when viewing the projected image in rooms with a lot of light. When sharing a presentation under normal daylight conditions, choose PC mode or Dynamic PC mode. ViewMatch mode adjusts for high brightness and accurate color. Movie mode and Dynamic Movie mode are used to display vibrant colors in low light environments. Included with the accessories is a remote control, which adds ease and efficiency in operating the projector within 26 feet of the infra-red signal located on the front of the projector. The power cord and VGA cable accessories make it possible to begin enjoying the ViewSonic projector without delay. When the VGA cable connects the projector to a PC with the dynamic contrast ratio set to on, the projector automatically adjusts the normal and economic modes of the lamp. A VGA connection to a computer monitor is an effective way to share presentations in small spaces and when a projector screen is not available. Both a PC and Mac are compatible; the resolution for both is 1920x1200. With DynamicEco, expect the contrast ratio to be 15,000:1. The 1080p resolution of the ViewSonic PJD7820HD DLP projector maintains the HD quality of the image, which works well for setting up a home theater. When connecting to a video source device, such as a Blu-ray player or gaming system, the HDMI cable connects to the HDMI port on the lower rear of the projector. HD and Portable
Actually I rate this as very good. The picture is outstanding (after a little bit of calibration on my part) and the size makes it very portable. Not too heavy, I can throw it into my backpack and take it anywhere. I have not tried the 3D yet. I just wish the projector came with a carry case for storage. Excellent Projector!
I bought a new low end projector that had great reviews. It was some knockoff brand with an LED bulb. Cost me $200. The image quality was horrible. Bad color and resolution. So I sent it back and searched ebay for a Viewsonic. This thing is amazing. It's got a true 1080p display unlike those low end ones that claim to. Great stats for a great price.
The viewsonic is a great projector with awesome stats for a fantastic price. Its great cossover portable or home cinema unit. Im using as i dedicated home cinema projector and its great. I found the skin tones to be slightly red saturated but some messing around with the colour controls and it comes right. Note this projector is made to be set on a table low infront of the screen so those who want to mount on roof or have it on a bookshelf will need to flip upside down. Great projector. Never used the 3D, but the 1080p works great. Very clear picture, even up to 150" size. Fans are not quite but when watching a movie have never had an issue with them being too loud. Probably the best home theater 1080p projector
If you are not going to spent a lot of money for your home theater projector, this is yours. I have this with 150inch Elite screen in my living room. Once sun sets, it's amazingly bright.
