Outdated but still an excellent device. Runs fine on Win10. You will need network knowledge to set it up. Can be assigned an email address for sending text-only emails directly to a printer, for whatever used that is today. Buying it used means you won't know what the IP address is. So basically, --download the user manual from D-Link Support and follow initial setup instructions. --plug it into your network in a spare port. Your DHCP router will assign it an IP address and that will override its manual address from the prior user as long as it is connected, until you change it. --Find its IP address in your gateway client list --Navigate to its home page and proceed to configure. In the wireless tab you will search available SSIDs and select yours, entering the security key. Be sure to select manual IP. --Two tips are (a) be sure the port name (which you will need when adding the printer in Windows) has no spaces, only characters, and (b) be sure to add your PC's WiFi Mac address as a user in the user tab. Along with any other device you will print from. This puppy will only accept print jobs from mac addresses listed in the user table. When you think about it, that is a good thing. --Add the printer to your PC. You may have to update Windows if your printer is not listed. --You will add a TCP/IP port using the IP address and port name you assigned the server. --The screen shots in the user manual are from WinXP and Win2K but those Win10 are similar enough to those in XP that anyone should be able to follow them. BTW you don't have to use the wireless feature, If it is given a wired connection too, it will auctioneer wired and wireless print jobs. Worked perfectly the first time.
