LAND ROVER SERIES 3 - 88" & 109" VEHICLES FROM 1971 TO 1984. Unit 25 KELVIN WAY TRADING ESTATE. INDICATOR/HORN/DIM-DIP SWITCH. USEFUL LINKS. B70 7TW, UK. KELVIN WAY WEST BROMWICH, WEST MIDLANDS.
This is a good quality genuine Lucas switch. However, do note the angle of the offset-stalk is at right angles to the steering shaft axis such that the horn button interferes with the controls on a County style series 3. I therefore would say it is not suitable for vehicles after around 1982. On later vehicles the stalk needs to be rotated counter clockwise so the offset is located to gives clearance away from the dashboard. The switch i think is better quality than a cheaper switch I had previously purchased which failed prematurely. With a bit of fiddling and removal of a rivet I was able to swop over the stalks so could use most of the Lucas mechanism. Not ideal, but now working fine. For the right (earlier) vehicle, there would be no problem.
