The stalk supplied was new and in mint condition. I fitted this to a 2010 Zafira B 1.6 Design. If you have the wiring for the clutch switch, this is a really cheap way to add cruise control. The old stalk took a while to remove. Once I figured it out, it was easy! There is a groove along the bottom of the original stalk. Run a long thin screwdriver blade or long thin allen-key along it and the clips can be released and the stalk pulled out - looking at the new stalk will help you see where it is. The new one just slots in and it takes a few seconds to get the rubber boot into place. The YouTube videos seem to show the clip at the back of the stalk (towards the front of the car) and it isn't! I had the clutch switch in place, but that could be fiddly to fit if you don't have it already. Literally five minutes with an Op-Com and you're in business. I also have the tell-tale lamp on the speedometer. I gather it isn't on all vehicles, but doesn't stop it working. Also the Op-com testing feature for the dashboard lamp doesn't bring on the tell-tale lamp, so I thought it didn't have one until I tried the cruise control on the road (which works over 20 MPH). As far a programming is concerned, fitting the new stalk initially causes an error code in (I think) the engine management module (due to the wrong type of stalk being fitted). That disappeared once programmed. There were three places to program it; the engine management module, the CIM (steering column module) and (strangely) the rear electrical centre. I think you need the pass/PIN code for the CIM programming.Read full review

Always wanted cruise control on my Zafira. Peel back the old gaiter and slide a 1mm hex key down the slot and pull the stalk out. Shove the new one in and fir the gaiter. Next is the hard part. Using Opcom software, activate cruise control on the steering module, clocks and ecu. You'll need the car pass for that. Plenty of YouTube guides to doing it.

Took literally five seconds to fit using a cocktail stick to release the old one. Cruise control is now activated and works great. Cheaper than going to Vauxhall 😉

My "genuine" stalk came in an unmarked plastic bag.. At first i thought it was randomly faulty, but it turns out that you can't engage cruise control unless you have used the brake pedal once... Easy to install :-)

Excellent quality. Works a treat, but beware they are not plug and play, you need certain software to programme onto your ecu.
