Quick and easy to use, a quality tool
It's accurate, I mean it's 100% square to the corners, I have had some bad squares in my workshop for quite a time, the Swanson Speed Square is a superb tool to have in your kit. Making furniture and doing some framing now and then, it's really easy to grab the Speed Square and strike a line, grab the circular saw and cut it to length, I usually buy my lumber in 4-5 meter lengths, which is a little long for the miter saw, the Speed Square and circular saw makes it more manageable, and it's so easy. I haven't had a square that got a lip like this, if you lay it flat to a 2x4 and register that lip, it stays there without you having to hold it firmly, I find this feature to be awesome.
