OEM Quality harness - install needs patience with steps 22-25
This OEM Wiring harness for the '03-'6 Wrangler TJ Hardtop is perfect to upgrade a Jeep when adding an OEM hardtop. Instructions are only in photos - so the wiring harness connections were a bit of a challenge and I am an Engineer by profession and a skilled shade tree mechanic. I used the Jeep forums to research the connections to get mine right. Steps 22-25 require patience inserting new wires into existing wire harness connections. Note that the black harness is the male coupler and whote harness is female coupler. Make sure there is a like colored wire on the other side of the connector for the new wire to connect with. Make sure the new wire in the harness gets inserted to the same depth as existing wires in the coupler. See my photos and notes I made on the instructions. To improve access under the dash I removed the driver seat and laid on the floor - this made it more comfortable. Once installed properly, the harness worked exactly as it should with no modification just as if it had been installed by a dealer.

DIY attainable
Wiring harness is well made and put together very good. Instructions a made for a man (all pictures) LOL. This was the first time trying a DIY install so I think that it went very well. Only thing that I found somewhat confusing was how to install the wires into the existing wiring harnesses. The picture instructions on these sections could have been a little more detailed. Could not get the wires to lock into the existing harness and was not sure if I had them installed correctly. It all seems to work so I guess I may have gotten it right. hard top harness
Saved a lot of frustration over trying to make my own. The only downside, is the instructions. All pictures and no real directions about how to do a lot of the intricate work like inserting the wires in the plug-in connections.
