A good flashlight
Well made flashlight with a strong focused beam. I did expect it to have a larger diameter, like the old fashioned flashlights, but this may not affect the range. There are three modes, bright, half power, and off, with sequential pushes of the switch. There is no signalling mode if you need to flash on and off. Didn’t work
Opened it. Put batteries in. It flickered randomly before switching itself off. Couldn’t get it to work properly at all, and on closer inspection it looked suspiciously as if the battery holder was a used product - it had residue on the contacts. Bright beam and lightweight.
Researching for a marine spotlight for my 32foot yacht I came across the Practical Boat Owner (PBO) on marine spotlights. I used to have a 1million candle halogen using a 6volt battery. It had a great beam but was heavy and a charged battery lasted 30 minutes on a good night. LED's are far superior to those old lanterns and this Draper was best rated with PBO. Only downside is the trigger, it's not smooth, no nice clicks and feels cheap . Otherwise this lamp is the best there is at the price. Casts a narrow beam some 400 metres making nightime navigation up river safe. A good buy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
