Just what i need for a Quick temporary fix.

Cant say how well this product would last on the test of time. My only purpose for buying it. was so I could make the 25 mile nearest muffler shop drive. & I would say it worked good for that. It would also be a good thing to have in the truck ool box for emergency situations. I also used another brand similer to this one. But the quality of this one was better.

Not for use around catalytic converters

Does not work on catalytic converter, if you are looking to attach an exhaust pipe to a catalytic converter that is only slightly flared at the end meaning that it is a catalytic converter that is to be welded in place, this product is not the fix for you. It will not act like steel at all. Will say the to remove it after you see that it will not work is really easy. Just run a screw driver down the side and pull down, it will cut right through it and then you just peel it off the pipe, unless it just falls off. If you exceed the temperature range of this product it will still be a loose connection and sag.

  • Warning!!

This fiber tape only lasted about 6 days on my exhaust. I followed all directions, wrapped up the hole in the exhaust and thought the repair would hold. It does solidify rock-hard. It looked great and made the exhaust extremely quiet again, just like it was supposed to. I stove it around town for 6 days, no issues and thought it was good. Then I drove it on the highway for about 30 min. I started to hear the exhaust getting loud again....dang it. The fiber tape had ripped/failed and the metallic tape included in the package was literally smoking and giving off plumes from under my car. This was 30 min. Into a two hour road trip. So for the next 1.5 hrs. we had to endure the cabin noise of am extremely loud V6. Do yourself a favor and don't expect this to be a permanent fix but rather a temp. patch. My hole was huge and maybe this tape works good for small patch repair but I would not use it for anything significant on my exhaust again. Gotta drive it home now, 2 more hours of deafening engine noise yay!!

  • Not so great

I tried it to patch a small exhaust leak close to the manifold on an Explorer. Only worked for a short time. Then just kind of disintegrated and crumbled off. Only slightly better than using duct tape. Ended up having to fix it the right way later on anyway. Maybe I exceeded the temp limit but it did not work as advertised. It also was a bit hard to use in tight areas.

  • This is the best heat wrap I've used.

I bought this product twice and it works perfectly. Way better than other repair tape stuff like Tiger Patch, this actually hardens onto the steel and becomes part of it. I've had this on my exhaust for over a month now and it's holding up perfectly no leaks or air can be felt. However, the aluminum tape they provide you in the kit isn't great. Go get some better high temp metal tape and it will work way better.

  • Lifesaver

I used this product when my pipes on my Harley broke on the pot hole filled roads of New Orleans. I let it sit overnight and it hardened just like it says. I had to get to Ohio that weekend to see my Mom. I road my Harley all the way from New Orleans to Ohio with this product holding my pipes together. I stand by this product. I keep a roll in my saddle bag at all times now. This product is a must have just like duct tape.

  • Great, easy to use

This exhaust repair tape is great stuff, it does harden as hard as metal, and easy to use, I just purchased another roll for another vehicle. Buy some and you'll love it

  • Works great

This is working well so far, a week of driving with my nearly rusted through exhaust pipe. I will be buying this again. The instructions , however, don't say anything about the clear plastic tube inside the wrap. Find it, remove it first. Before starting your task have a sturdy small wire brush. The 2 inch square of sandpaper doesn't cut it.

  • Simple to use, works great!

I had a hole in my exhaust pipe due to rust and a welded bracket breaking off of it. This product was a great fix and the hole was a silver dollar size. I was even was able to wrap the bracket back to the pipe and fixed the issue to a factory look. I Would recommend this product for small exhaust pipe leaks.
