    Surprisingly Small but Works Well

This inflator is surprisingly small compared with other electric pumps I've had, but it does its job perfectly. An advantage of its small size is that it slips easily into the glove box, or nooks and crannies in the boot. The connector is different from all other pumps I've had (foot pumps or electric) in that it's not the 'quick-release' type with a lever to clamp it onto the valve. This one has to be screwed onto the valve. It takes only a moment and gives a very secure connection. As with all electric pumps I've had, there's a slight discrepancy between the tyre pressure shown on the gauge when it's actually pumping and when it's switched off but still connected to the valve. You quickly learn to make an allowance for this.

  • Most critical review

It has some positive and some negative features

Apart from the above positive aspects, there are three negative features to this product. However, it is an excellent tool for quickly pumping bicycle tires, but look at (3) below. 1. It is of low capacity, hence very slow. 2. It has a short hose, so has to be held very close to the tire. (inconvenient). 3. No quick connection. It works by screwing on to the tire valve. The connecting screw is PLASTIC. What if it breaks with repeated use.

  • AA 12 volt pump

Well this little belter, bought this for my motorbike because it was small and compact. I didn't expect much from it but frankly it amazed me inflated my rear tyre ( 180 55 17 ) in about 3 mins to 36 psi. . It just needs a little longer hose and would be perfect 👌 even the gauge reading matched my digital one. forget those little expensive gas bottles and get one of these .

  • Small and Neat. Fine for occasional use.

Pros: Inexpensive, takes up little space, small and neat. Didn't arrive due to postal problem. Replacement arrived quickly Cons. As it's small it's quite slow. PSI easy to read, metric less so.

  • Handy wee pump.

Have used to inflate car and small trailer tyres. Does the job but gets slow around 25-30 psi. Probably not for tyre pressure above this. Screw fitting for valve great idea, doesnt lose air around fitting like ones with lever fitting. Great wee gadget for the price.

  • A very useful bit of kit!

My old-style foot-pump was letting more air out of my tyres than it was putting in, so I decided to update myself with this electric pump. It works very well but quite slowly, so you are not likely to over-inflate the tyres and cause a burst. The instructions say that it should be used for 15 minutes at the most, followed by 15 minutes of non-use to cool down the motor. I could pump 4 tyres from about 25 pounds per square inch to the 32 psi recommended by Peugeot (who made my car) in about 10 minutes, so the time limit was not a problem. It folds up into a much smaller space than my old foot-pump, so I'll carry it in the car for emergencies with tyres or other things - the light built into the plastic body could be useful at night for any type of car problem as the 12v cable would be long enough to reach the car engine, the exhaust or the boot. The instructions also say that you should keep your engine running whilst using the pump in order to avoid causing a flat battery. I don't know how much power the pump does in fact draw from the battery, but if you leave the engine idling you won't be left stranded. It's a very useful bit of kit!

  • Every car should carry one

Solid, AA-branded pump with long 12v power cable for the cigarette lighter socket and a latch-action switch on the unit. You plug it in then take the unit to the wheel station, connect the Schrader-valve and start pumping. Gauge is not particularly accurate but it makes safety-sense to check the pressure independently anyway. Good value, and very useful for inflating a wide range of other items like cycles tyres, footballs (a needle valve included) and inflatable toys.

  • AA 12v pump

So i read the reviews before buying and knew what to expect. Heres what i found. Small - yes. Noisy- yes. Inaccurate - yes. Short air hose - yes. Slow - No, my old 12v pump was alot slower. The gauge also reads 5psi over true figures . Looks cheap, feels cheap but it aldo was cheap. Happy so far

  • Compact and perfect for roadside emergencies

Compact and perfect for roadside emergencies. I just had to use this to pump a total flat up so I could drive to a KwikFit for replacement . Very compact, powerful and easy to use (has a simple gauge, not a complex digital display that continuously needs calibrating) . Totally recommended - the small size of this makes is absolutely ideal for smaller cars.

  • OK But!

Nice and compact, easy to store. The major downside is that the inflation hose is only four inches long. To inflate the tyre you need to kneel down and hold the pump. A shame as otherwise a good product.
