Maplin Professional Solar Powered Wifi Weather Station
The kit is very easy to set up. I would recommend TV aerial mast brackets to mount it to your house. The station monitors indoor and outdoor temperatures and humidity, windspeed and direction, rainfall amounts, UV index and watts per square metre sun power from the solar panel. The remote outdoor sensor array has rechargeable batteries topped up by the solar panel so no battey changing is required. You need to accurately point the sensor array south to get an accurate windirection reading and maximum solar recharge energy for the batteries. The indor unit is mains powered from a small power pack. It can be placed anywhere within the 200m range of the outside sensor array. You can have direct readings of all the parameters or call up graphs and tables of past. history. The unit will also link to your wifi to download/upload the data recorded by your station to a data base server for more accurate weather predictions. Worldwide. The only problem I have had is the need to reset the sensor array once by pressing a small button under the array.
