My dead cat
In use, the Rode Dead Cat Go kept most wind noises at bay-even during a strong breeze at the Duxford Airshow the results were acceptable. Acoustically, it was also quite transparent-not removing too much of the treble sounds though with audio remastering in post production any losses could easily be equalised. The inner foam sleeve supplied with the shield was a bit slack and flimsy so I used my previous Rode foam microphone cover inside the fur to give a tighter, more secure fit-by no means an easy task. All-in-all, the Rode Dead Cat is a good introduction to using wind shields on Rode electret-and similar microphone designs; there are many more expense versions on the market so it's worth giving this one a try.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This "Dead Cat" is excellent at reducing windage noise. However, it's not infallible. If the wind is strong enough, you'll still get noise.
