No - Hum - Fans do not turn until hot- Quite - well configured for wiriing configurations - Do not put in a small or medium case.
Corsair the name brand itself and that for a reason an awesome bit of kit, usually I would not have gone for a PSU at this magnitude 1200. But after years of PC building and upgrading a steady and stable power supply is just the beginning as not all motherboards are the same and while the price of this product is high you have to think about the experience.
What does that mean?
Performance and scalability for the future the way you can upgrade your build, pick and choose a motherboard suitable toward your chipset. Design ever, will it be water-cooled, will you need extra fans and headers, some motherboards require a stable voltage for over or under clocking.
What I would do if (I) were you read everyone else's comments and decide for yourself, as ultimately the only person who can decide is you what type of experience you would like.
It is quiet and Corsair PSU are normally reliable.
Expensive if brought new.
Corsair link software was disappointing, just gave temp.
Fan test button is useful, since fan does not run unless hot.
