    Heavy and/but very good

I'm not sure I'd say they're better than expected as I expected them to be good, but they're definitely better than 'ok' which is the next choice. I look over the sea and they're great for looking at the boats on the horizon (I must get out more!) and, I imagine, for a relatively close up view of the moon. They are pretty huge so they definitely need a tripod, and they're not something I'd contemplate taking out with me on a walk or suchlike as they're too cumbersome really for that. Very good binoculars though and I'm happy with them.

Poor cheap unpleasant to use binoculars!

Can only be used on a tripod and that’s not easy either. You need to be sat down and have binos at a workable eye level height. But they are hard work to use and very tiring at the same time. Poor focus. Totally useless for astronomy!!!!!! Pathetic carrying bag and the lens covers are hopeless. Recently saw them outside at the Minehead RNLI station as a prop for a fund rising dummy to be looking through. Just left outside in the rain! That’s the problem - they look good but they are rubbish. However to be fair to the makers they are cheap so what do you expect. A fake Rolex looks good but it’s not a Rolex. I fear to get a useable binocular of this spec you would need to buy Zeiss or similar and spend over £3000.00. Probably a lot more! As always in this world, the quality of what you buy depends on how much you spend. My advice, for what it’s worth, it’s to buy an older quality second hand 7 x 50 pair of binoculars which is easy to use and will last a lifetime of properly cared for. Aim to spend around £200.00 and you will get quality.

  • Celestron 20 X 80 astronomical binoculars.

These are excellent binoculars for stargazing. For people, like myself who lose patience with the setting up of telescopes they are an excellent alternative. Although heavy to be continually handheld, they come prepared to be tripod mounted. They will not compete with a quality high-powered telescope but are a great companion to one and will be more used.

  • Great Product

Great product. Brilliant views of the night sky. Definately need a tripod for longer viewing though. Views of the moon are awesome, as have been the views of the orion nebula. Well worth money.

  • Simply awesome

Quite heavy binoculars which is to be expected and a sturdy tripod required for best results. Comfortable and easy to adjust. Quality looks and feel, with superb optics. Really glad I upgraded to these.

  • Very good binoculars

It's lightweight for its size, but you will need a tripod if you really want to enjoy using it.

  • Great Binoculars

Excellent for stargazing, but you will need a tripod or some sort of support as these are not lightweight binoculars.
