Not Ready for Prime Time
I bought this adaptor to use with my Baofeng UV-82 dual band HT. 1. The first thing I noticed is that the transmitter part doesn't fit perfectly on the UN-82 because the 1/8" plug is a little too long so it sits out at an angle. However, it makes good electrical connection so it's not a deal breaker. 2. As described by others, there is a delay in the start of audio. I would guess about a 0.5 second. I was aware of this "feature" but I was surprised at how much it annoyed me. I often use my radio in scanner mode. Missing the beginning of a police or fire dispatch really ruins the experience. 3. The deal breaker for me is the poor range. With unobstructed line of sight, I get reception almost up to 2 meters. But, when I carry my HT in my hip side pocket which is less than 1 meter to my ear I get very poor or no reception. I have a smaller Bluetooth transmitter device that gets much better range so I know it can be done. 4. I like the earphone a lot. It fits very securely and comfortably in my ear. I was surprised at how well the microphone worked. Very clear audio (provided you had the radio near to your ear). The PPT feature worked as advertised; however, the PTT button was hard to use because it is located in the edge of the device. It should be on the front so that pushing it just pushes the device more securely into the ear instead of out of your ear. I tried using the earphone with my iPhone. Paring was no problem. I was disappointed to discover it only worked for phone calls. I couldn't play music and hear it in the earphone. Nobody would want to use this earphone for music but I have several other apps (navigation, police radio, etc.) that I would like to be able to use. I applaud the manufacture for being the first one to provide this long overdue Bluetooth device for HT radios. And I'm encouraged to hear that they are working on a version of the transmitter that is powered from the radio eliminating the need to disconnect and recharge the transmitter. I hope they will also fix the transmit range and audio delay defects. Until they are fixed, I can not recommend this device.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not working on PTT mode
I am not happy with the system. I need a Push to Talk system to use my radio. The system is not PTT you will never know if you are transmiting or not. A PTT system has to be be pushed permanently on to transmit and stop when released ! I need the PTT Bluetooth adaptor showed on the box !! I asked the seller to send to me this PTT adaptor ( I was ready to pay for this) without answer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Takes time to pair everything, but provides good audio volume. Tires the ear after wearing for several hours (gets uncomfortable).

It's not as good as I thought it would be

Low sound
