a great time keeping module for arduino
This DS3231 has worked flawlessly for at least a week of continuous use and has remained very accurate. It keeps the time even when the arduino is turned off because it runs on its own battery. ARDUINO real time clock
If you need your Arduino or Pie to operate at specific times of day, week or month then you ned a real time clock (RTC) module. I use mine to track the sun by moving my solar panels to where the sun is.
