Solution tool for drum brakes.
Not the easiest or nicest tool to use (just thin metal handles with a fairly awkward pivot point because the handles have a function as well) but they do the job where it is a complete nightmare to work with drum brake springs otherwise. If you have to work with drum brakes, this is the best option I know of. I personally think these should be 3 tools in a pack for a few quid more rather than trying to be a 3 in 1 hack tool.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The spring pliers are insufficient for the purpose and difficult to manipulate. The Brake spring washer tool takes no account of the strength of the retaining spring as such you end up with if not cut hands intensely sore hands.
