Great video footage of actual surfing.
This surfing documentary Bluray is mainly about John John Florence and contains great video of surfing and also beautiful underwater video at the beginning of the movie. It shows the people and culture of the different places around the world that him and his friends surf, but this part I would say is only 5% of the movie. 90% of the movie is video of the surfing which is why I like it. Some surfing documentaries mainly show interviews which is boring.

Hands down this is the best modern surf flick ever made. Filmography, water angles and level of surfing are all beyond compare. John John will be a world champion soon, if not this year. This film is visually stunning and while there really isn't any narration, it has a good flow throughout the film. There aren't any dull moments. The backdrops of some of the surf spots are some of the most beautiful locales in the world. I believe the whole thing was shot in HD, so I strongly recommend the blu ray disc. Outstanding surf movie. Great photography and cinematography, brilliantly edited. The soundtrack was wonderful, and the music perfectly complemented the visuals. It goes without saying that the surfing of John Florence and friends was mind blowing and gave the greatest pleasure to watch. I went to the Premier, and still bought the dvd as soon as it came out.
