Only way to go
No more squeaky BB's. High quality, ingenious design and we'll see how long term durability is. One caveat however, you must have a 48.5 millimeter BB wrench to tighten it up as a normal Shimano BB wrench will not work. Wheels Mfg sells them or you can buy a Park tool BBT-29. Also, if you need a 2.5mm spacer to maintain a chainline, be aware that this BB does not come with a 41 mm 2.5mm spacer that you'll need. They give you spacers for the crank arm but not the BB. Also the instructions say to press in the drive side cup with a press but with my Trek, no press was needed as it was an interference fit. Yours may need to be pressed in. You can buy a press or make one with threaded rod, nuts and washers. Mfg suggests for off road use such as a Mountain bike, not to get the ceramic bearings, the angular ones will suffice.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Innovative outboard design eliminates bb30/pf30 creaks & special tools
Excellent alternative for do it yourselfers who hate creaking problems associated with press fit and bb30 bottom brackets and having to use special tools to press cups/adapters into bike frame. Uses tube to connect cups (with external lips) that have bearings inside. Not for weight weenies as it's about twice the weight but it's worth it if you don't want bb hassles.
