The Price is Right - do the required tests and you'll see that Soy wax can work.
Once you master this wax it is perfect. Test and test as pouring temperatures may be different if dyes are added and of course the amount of fragrance. At first I had sink holes and ringed cracks. But for me dealing with this at a cooler temperature than recommended worked.

This product melts well, it sets nice and firm, not soft like some I've used, and doesn't smoke when burned. I've painted it, twisted it and carved it. Lovely wax.
