Makes a great cake.
I found a recipe in one of the Hummingbird bakery books for peanut butter and jelly cake. This is a cake version of the classic American sandwich. I wasn't able to locate a High Street shop which sold grape jelly in the U.K. (nor one which now sells squeezy bottles of Nacho cheese, but that's another story), so I had to go on-line. The cake was superb (but the layers were subject to "slippage", which makes the cake a little difficult to transport). Amazing product, terrible date.
I received my grape jelly today expecting to be able to use it until August, however the best before date was January 2018. Will still give it a try as it's my favourite brand and I miss it with peanut butter, just hope it's edible.
