Amazing transfer to blu-ray
I have a plain dvd copy of this series so was able to make a direct comparison. The picture quality is much crisper without showing signs of colour saturation. For example, the skintones are realistic. The sound has also been upgraded to support modern equipment. Bearing in mind that this was a mini series made for television in 1980, the resulting transfer is very pleasing. This edition is published with German text on the cover, but the audio defaults to English by choice. I did not experience any problems in loading and playing the disks. If you enjoyed the original viewing, then I would recommend buying this collection.
