Frustrating
Before I start let me say I've used a LOT of stick on zips over the years so I have plenty to compare these with and if you want a quick conclusion to this review then don't buy it. Look for the hydrogarden zipper doors in stead which so long as you wipe the white sheeting down first, preferably with an alcohol wipe etc, stay on for life. Anyway. My major issue with these zippers here is the time and annoying effort required to use them. They are made by idiots. During manufacturing the zips are made by sewing THROUGH the removable backing. Bonkers. What this means is when you go to peel off the back you have to pull it off in two larger and two much smaller strips which, because of the stitching running through the backing, doesn't go well at all. The backing tears and sticks and leaves annoying bits of it left on the rear of the zipper which you then have to pick and pull at individually while the glue is exposed and everything is trying to stick to itself and anything else it touches. It took maybe 15 minutes to fit one zipper! Not good. The hydrogarden ones literally take seconds. Peel away the top section, stick to sheet and then simultaneously pull down and peel off the rear backing while smoothing onto the sheet. Soooooooo easy. The one thing I do like about this zipper is the the smoothness of the zip. Such a shame about the silly way they stitch through the backing paper.
