4G for the occasional user.
The 500MB allowance per month is well suited to the occasional 4G user whose spends most of their time using their own wi- fi to surf the internet and who uses WhatsApp to minimise costs for chats, audio messages and video messages for both mobile data and their own wi-fi. This card can be topped up, even on PayAsYouGo, to enable conventional phone calls and SMS messages. The SIM card industry tries very hard to get everyone to pay for a minimum of 2GB per month. Most people do not need this much. If you use you own wi-fi when at home then this is essentially free. OK but not suited to my use..
Was ok but I wouldn't buy again. 500MB per month spread over 6 months is too inflexible for me. I now buy Data only SIM's with 20GB with 12 month longevity for my Car based WiFi. They normally only last about 7-9 months but usability and cost effective is great.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Why you would want a year contract sim
It depends on what you need a small amout of data for. What would make this product better is the EE data transfer offers for contract sims. Ideal for radio amateurs using network radio. Low data users who dont want a phone sim.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

if 500MB data per month only is enough then very good choice
Very useful and great value item for those with low data requirements like mainly checking/sending emails+WhatsApp messages and medium WhatsApp voice call usage. 500 MB per month (no texts or minutes) any left over will be discarded and fresh 500MB loaded up automatically. Good for 'in car' data connectivity
Bought this to enable traffic data connectivity and satellite views in my Jaguar XJ Sat Nav system. The sim certainly seems to work very well for this application. I don't know if the 500mb data per month is enough for this application, but I haven't run out as yet! 4GEE 6GB spread over 12 Months
The sim is great but I could not connect at the start just by inserting the sim on the phone. I had to phone Everything Everywhere to sort it out as I seemed to have no credit with the sim. I have had this for a couple of months now and though I only use about 200 MB of the 500 MB per month it is still great and saves me from purchasing a 500 MB data add-on at £5 per month. Each month Everything Everywhere add another 500 MB to my data allowance but you cannot carry unused data forward. I would recommend this to anyone who does not use much data.
