  • Living La Vida Lexen!

We have been using a Lexen hand powered wheatgrass auger for years and recently I broke the handle (boo hiss to me). Looking for a replacement we came across this electric wheatgrass juicer. First off, it looks superb and if you like an appliance with presence this one has it to a Tee! It is easy and hassle free to set up, and the locking system keeps it all neatly in place. Speed? When it comes to slow juicing one thing you don't want is turbo. You feed the wheatgrass in and it gently pulls it through without a grumble or a moan. If this is the first time you have ever owned an auger then don't panic when on the first feed a small amount of juice comes out of the front, this is completely normal and the rest does get pushed down to the collection jug. The feeder lid is a complete boon ensuring every last bit of food is funnelled through to the machine. I also put slices of ginger in with my wheatgrass and it does not even blink at it, just noms through like a good 'en. Making pulp is stupendously simple, one apple and hey presto, baby food or live apple sauce! I have as yet to make pasta but have no qualms that it will do a brilliant job of that too. Washing up. I think wayyyyy too many people get out of shape about washing juicers up, here's the truth, it is a lot quicker to chop, juice and clean your juicer than make a full english breakfast! When cleaning, I would advise to remove the clear washer from the nozzle as bits get caught behind it and ensure you remember to put it back in afterward!!! I am sure they are dishwasher safe, but we wash all our juicers by hand as they only taking minutes to clean and dishwashers can do that unexpected discolouring damange that looks awful, so, to the sink, rinse, wipe, dry . . . about 2 minutes of your valuable time! It isn't loud and abbrasive it just chugs along doing what it is meant to do, and it does it very well. There is absolutely nothing about this machine I don't like, it ticks all the boxes for us in this house and I HIGHLY recommend it! I do have to add that the seller Juiceland UK were an absolute pleasure to do business with, our Lexen turned up in the fastest time ever. We highly recomend them and are definately going to contine to use them in the future as we are now a little bit addicted to their web site! Happy Juicing. Cre8powa

  • ideal and excellent value for money.

i owned a juicer that was the same design as this a few years back and it cost me 3 times as much. this one is excellent value for money. it asks is it easy to clean ... its fiddly but then again, you have loads of fruit pulp to deal with, so what do you expect! the key to a good juicer is that it crushes it slow enough so as not to generate heat and destroy the valuable enzymes etc. and this one does the job very well indeed.

  • Great for the money

Sturdily built this slow juicer is great value for money. Well worth looking at if you want to make healthy juices using leaves and vegetables that are more difficult to juice. You need a third the amount of ginger with this!
