  • a top book for Catskill resort fans or anyone interested in mid-century decor and furnishings

An excellent, quality-bound book, containing a superb and large selection of black and white and colour images. Very well researched and written. Contains a particularly good section on the world famous Concord Resort (Kiamesha Lake), with rare and interesting images one simply wouldn't find on the internet. There is a beautiful colour photo of the Rotunda Lobby, outside the Imperial Room, showing Morris Lapidus' grand 'floating' staircase. Also a detailed plan of the complex. I would recommend this book to anyone, it is simply outstanding; once you start reading and looking at the images, you will not want to put it down and will keep going back to it again and again. Trust me, buy it - it's worth every penny.
