Great For Backing Up Cassette & Vinyl Music
I've owned and used this product now for 5 years and just bought another as a backup in case they stop making them! I have over 1,000 vinyl records and 100s of cassette tapes that I have been digitizing over the years. Once you've used this a few times It becomes very easy to use. Last year I got some cassette tape caught really bad in the cassette player but after I opened up the machine I was able to remove the tape and it runs like new. I like the fact that you can record to CD from the vinyl records and cassettes and it has an auxiliary input in case you want to use it. When my cassette drive was down I used a portable cassette player and ran it through the auxiliary input until I removed the piece of cassette tape that was caught in the cassette player. I take the final output use a few other programs to remove the pops and scratches and hums that come when you digitizing vinyl records and even cassettes. Getting replacement needles right now is still easy to get - I bought several in case they stop making them too. I've only had to replace the needle once in the 5 years I've owned this music center.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fair but should be better
The recording volume does not go up loud enough. On my previous unit, the recording volume would go up louder than this one. That being said, when you play back the cd you burned, in the car or another cd player, you have to turn the volume up real high to be able to hear the cd you made. The little bars beside Auto Track should go all the way to the end when recording and they won’t on this player. Also you have to use the remote to adjust record volume as it won’t let you adjust it on the player itself.
