Wonderful New Addition to my house
Love it! I have lots of static in my apartment and everyone was always getting shocked.Tried tea kettle last year, but did not work well enough . This humidifier has done the job. You get what you pay for...
I had originally given this a very good review. However, after spending a winter with this unit I've found it to be barely sufficient to provide the humidity I need to keep my instruments safe. And the room I'm using it in is not that big (9' x 14'). I contacted Honeywell and they were nice enough, but their explanation wasn't that plausible. Bottom line: I believe there just isn't enough wicking power to humidify my room past 30%. And that's not even in the dead of winter when it's really dry! Then it's in the mid-20% range. So my point is that you get what you pay for. Maybe if you had two of these it would be sufficient. Or at least something with a larger wick. Lastly, it is very quiet, but not on the highest setting which you need to run it on constantly when it's really dry.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

easy to use works well
Since we have had the heat on more then usual this winter with all the cold temps the household air had been very dry to the throat and skin. Long-Lasting, Reliable, and Easy to Clean
I have had one of these for over three years; this purchase was a gift to someone else. Mine functions as well now as when I first got it, no complaints. You can get compatible wicks for low cost and they last a good length of time. This humidifer is built "simply;" there are not a whole bunch of little parts and nooks where things can build up or that you need to take apart to clean it. I chose this model because I wanted to try a cool mist huidifer after getting frustrated with various warm mist types, vaporizers, etc. I did a lot of research and a number of articles picked this as the best overall humidifier for a room. Looks well cleaned. I already have 3 of these and they are a lifesaver when the furnace makes the air in my home drier during the winter months. I also like that it humidifies the air without creating white spots all over the room. Solid design, very effective
I've tried a couple of humidifier brands and ended up buying 3 of this model. The tank is easy to fill, there are minimal moving parts, and it can handle a decent size space on high. Even with the fan turned up it's pretty quiet. Quiet, efficient, and kills germs.
I can run this on the low speed setting at night, and it is so quiet I hardly hear it run. The low speed gives my bedroom just enough humidity to maintain 45% humidity.
