This is a GREAT bargain. This will do better than most 4 times teh cost. I mean,, it takes air in,, filters it and blows it out,, not real complicated. The key is to create the tight seal so it forces teh intake through teh filter,, done,,, and done well with this filter. Not so quiet ,, but it has three settings and the lowest setting is a small purr added to the din of your home,, can be relaxing, But on full it can be noisy. But it pushes a lot of air at full,, totally not necessary. The only way to effectively filter your home is to split up the task locally,, do not rely on whole house filters, they do not work. Better to put small units scattered throughout. Central systems are only 40% useful . Put good pleated filter on returns and add this unit to your living and sleeping areas. Fine for the Hearing Impaired

Great Air Purifier - Great Value
This is one of the best air purifiers out there. We have two of them, one for the bedroom and one for the living room. They do a fantastic job of cleaning the air. Easy to maintain, the pre-filters are not expensive and very simple to replace. They are pretty loud on the highest "turbo" setting but when on the lowest, it works like a white noise generator and is quiet enough to sleep with. We take our smaller one with us when we go traveling and love the clean air it makes. It sounds like a wind tunnel on high but...
I do believe it’s filtering the air well. Air is drawn in around the lower perimeter and forcefully expelled around the top perimeter. I use this in a largely unused room and have it on a timer to purifier during daylight hours and off at night so I can sleep. For me the air rushing on medium or high is to loud to be considered white noise. The main hepa filter will last a long time as long as you change the carbon prefilter. Pleased I bought used on eBay. Very Efficient Air Filter
I don't know where the Seller got the "390 square foot" number. This model is designed to clean at least a thousand square feet. I only run it on Low, since the Medium and High are quite noisy. The pre-filters are very reasonable and available, and the instruction paper claims they'll last about 3 months, but I have not found the Main filter for sale. The instructions claim that I have 3-5 years to worry about finding one. The fan is not well balanced, so it wobbles like an improperly-loaded washing machine. This thing sucks in cigar smoke from across a fairly large room, and the air remains clear. Overall, I'm very happy with it and certainly recommend it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I like this air purifier!
I have bought a couple of these Honeywell air purifiers, they are not the quietest air purifier out there but if you have a dusty basement or somewhere that needs a lot of air movement and purification this is a good option, especially bought from eBay at a lower price. Bright lights
This product replaces an older one that failed. The current model has )(*&)(*&%^^% lights that make it unsuitable for bedroom use (and that's the only place I need it). Really loud on any setting, but quite effective. Does work wonderfully on open space where noise is not a concern.
This product is a great bang for the buck. I got it used for a great price (60$ USD). The unit is quite loud at any setting; but if you know about electronics- a Variac does well at lowering the voltage - therefore lowering the fan speed which in turn lowers the loudness of the fan. We manage to place this item successfully in our bedroom without being concerned about noise. At lower speeds with the use of the Variac, one believes on vacationing over a tropical island during a light rain storm. Its quite nice and soothing.

SO FAR SO GOOD
