Good Value For The Money
I need a Kidde that would fit the mounting ring from my old unit. This one is exactly the same size. Yeehaw! Didn't even have to drill. Yeh, so I'm lazy. I also am not particularly enamored of this planet, so if the smoke detector works or does not work, I am not really concerned. At least it is there. It will either tell me the house is full of CO or it will not. Either way, I won't have any problems. So sue me. Besides the zero-effort mount, the best part is that I paid less than HALF of regular price for this new-in-package unit. That makes me happy. Yeh, it was manufactured in 2012 and was not technically factory fresh, but if it lasts ten years like the old Kidde did, that is acceptable. Installed easily
Kidde is a great name in detectors. This one seems to do all that is is supposed to do. This is a product that I don't ever want to have to do an actual review of how it saved a life from my burning home!!!
