  • 3.5 stars is not an option, so 4 stars it is

On one hand this feels a little cheap but on the other it is cheap so the value is there. I experienced little of the negative aspects found in other reviews but my wxpectations were not high. First off, it is definitely a little lighter in power than the other cheap springer pistols I own. But not that much so for close range it should be adequate. I used the cheap pearl like gray .12(?) BBs that came with it before remembering to never use them... oops. That being said, the quality .20 bios I tried next did not penetrate paper or where not even hitting the target. So I went back to .12 and an arguably better BB... It definitely seems more accurate and powerful with .12s so I will have to try some quality ones if they even make them... As far as the build quality goes, this pistol is not as bad as some of the reviews from people that either have disposable income or no kids or mortgage or other bills and think a sane person should spend hundreds of dollars for a BB gun... I think some of the negative reviews are from sellers of more expensive ones. Airsoft revolvers are limited but I thinl this gun is a step above the UKARMS one but they look curiously similar like most chinese clones. My shells do not fall out everytime and I did not have much trouble loading & unloading. I carry a revolver though so some might not understand the quirks and nuances compared to a semiautomatic. I did get the typical finicky cylinder rotation issue once and the release latch is definitely not the best but this would be a backup sidearm or a novelty and I don't plan on going pro with it. The accuracy is questionable but might just need the right .12 BB. Some people must have week thumbs because it's easy to cock the hammer and fairly smooth as is the trigger. It is much easier to keep sight picture than a springer that requires racking the slide with 2 hands. Only having 6 shots obviously is disadvantageous but I plan on testing my .357 speed strips to see if the shells fit. They look close to real diameter. Reviewers talk about dropping guns and running into trees with then which is absurd. Dropping a firearm or an airsoft replica is a dangerous and careless act. I can count the times I have broke something by dropping it on one hand in 40 years and it was usually glass on tile or concrete during intoxication. I was the kid who kept his toys in good shape, maybe I am the exception. Anyway, this is better then the negative reviews, I did not have to tape the shells and nothing snapped off. The cylinder should be metal, as should the shells for this price but for around $57 I have a revolver and 32 shells and do not need green gas or CO2 to run it. Granted, this is about the lowest FPS airsoft gun I will ever own but again, I like revolvers. In real life I do not plan to stick around long enough to fire 15 rounds when 1 well placed .357 hydroshock will stop most threats. Airsoft only requires 1 hit and a leg shot is technicallly a kill so unless this is your primary (dumb idea) it is fine for clearing rooms or when your rifle will not cut it during a skirmish. I I was rich, I would not buy this but for fun or training to use a real revolver it is adequate. Some people pay more for airsoft guns than I can build a real AR15 for but I try not to pay more than $100 for anything I can't drive or live in. If you are a gear snob with a trust fund this is a 2 star pistol. If you are making minimum wage it is a 5. If you are saving up for a VSR10 clone and have a life and bills it is a 3.5. I threw the .5 on it because I hate haters and if the cylinder and release latch were metal it would be a 5.

  • very good replica of a Colt Python

feels sturdy in the hand, not cheap and thin like a lot of airsoft. Shoots pretty hard, not that accurate, but I didn't expect it to be. Looks good in my Safariland holster for my PYTHON!
