Simple-to-use cash register that does everything we need it to do.
We needed a simple, easy-to-use cash register that produces legible tapes and doesn't cost too much. We only need to identify clerks and segregate the cash sale from its tax, and register receipts on account and paid outs. This cash register does those things without a hundred extra keys we'll never use. It's similar enough to the Royal 500dx we just retired (and can't get anymore) that the learning curve was gentle. The Sharp XEA102's only drawbacks are that it's a little noisy and a little slow compared to the Royal. The only thing the instructions said we could do that we had to work around was entering tax manually. We assigned a "department" to tax and by-passed the tax features, which don't really work in our situation, altogether.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Sharp Electronic Rookie
I'm pretty happy with my register, it arrived in perfect condition. The packing was amazing and more than adequate. It's a lot more complicated to set up than I expected and the instructions are printed so tiny I had to get out a magnifying glass to read them.
