Handy support brace
These are very handy to have went your need support in a certain area that doesn’t have it. There very simple to install. I live in a manufacture home and the braces weren’t where I needed them. These have help me to hang a ceiling fan where I wouldn’t have been able to without cutting another hole in my ceiling. These are also great when you don’t have any crawl space in your roof.

Does the job and then some
I've installed 5 of these in my house so far and they work fantastically. The feet allow you to sit the device on top of the drywall and get the perfect height so that the box is flush with the drywall once mounted on the brace. Once the brace is expanded per the instructions, it is rock solid. If you use a 4" hole saw you will get a perfect fit for the box. My only complaint is that the instructions state that you can use any of the three knockouts on the box. However, because the back of the box is flush with the brace when tightened, it's impossible to use the center knockout on the box.
