Replaced rotary speed control.
This replaced a rotary knob speed control. This speed control switch is much better because you can select a speed that you prefer and then use the push button on/off switch and not have to readjust the speed each time you turn the fan on. Also, there is a calibration screw that allows you to customize the slowest speed you want the slide switch to allow. My old rotary control, when dialed to the lowest speed, wouldn't provide enough power to turn the fan. I worried that that might be damaging to the fan or even cause the switch to overheat. The only improvement I would like to see in this switch is a more crisp, or positive feel in the push button. It's not sloppy but could be more crisp. Overall,I'm very happy I upgraded to this switch.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
