... connecting cables a bit in the short side. Otherwise excellent little budget speakers for a computer. They're not going to blow your ear drums off, but plenty loud enough for general use.

It is difficult to find cheap technology that works. But at the end of the day you are buying a 6 quid set of speakers so if it works that is the best possible outcome. I have a 50% positive outcome as one of the speakers works fine. I could already assume something was wrong when I heard the main speaker rattling around in its little box. I am disappointed, but I am not surprised. I needed a cheap option to get sound for my PC and I got exactly that. (Advise to anyone wanting a cheap option, don't be surprised when it comes half working)!!

It is decent enough sound quality and tonal balance for what I wanted - compact, simple audio for my mother's PC for watching films and doing Skype video-chats. The volume is limited by the low-voltage of a USB port and the deep bass limited by the small physical size, which would apply to any simple and inexpensive speaker set. The speakers on my laptop are tinny and too quiet for me to hear clearly. Putting this speaker set on made the volume at least three times as loud (to my perception) and put a lot more bass-end into the sound. - You should not expect SUPERB sound from any similar very inexpensive, small, single-speaker product. They are loud enough and natural enough, balanced enough in tone that I have ordered another set for myself to "permanently" use with my laptop - I missed them greatly when I did take them down to mothers after using them for three days. At the price, I think that they are excellent value.Read full review

Good value for money and plenty loud enough for sensible use. Bought a second pair as a result.

The Jedel speakers are cheap and good for a person with hearing loss trying to listen to speech. The speakers being small the bass is poor, but that is just what is wanted for a person with hearing loss who needs the audio high frequencies to dominate. Would not recommend for music but excellent for hearing speech.
