First dye I've used that works and doesn't ruin the washing machine
First dye I've used that works. Always used to use Dylon but their washing machine dyes were hard to remove from the washing machine. This dye is ready mixed in liquid form, all you have to do is add salt. Colour (dark grey) covered over some bleach marks on a towel. After running a hot cycle the machine was clean and ready for use. Bought another 2 bottles after the test one, to dye another two bath towels and same good results.
The actual preparation and dyeing is quite fiddly and everything has to be measured. However, the result was absolutely brilliant. Even colour, no missed spots and bleach damage perfectly covered. I am very pleased with the result, but as I said, quite fiddly to start off with, but a good result. Would recommend.
Dyed a pair of cord trousers which I’d splashed bleach onto, Charcoal grey. Was concerned as the bottle said , ‘may not cover bleached fabric’. My other concern was immersing the cotton fabric in hot water for half an hour. The bleach marks have dyed and the trousers have very little shrinkage. Very pleased with results.
