    Vital in A Capella but loses graphics.

    This is my SECOND Tombo Pitch Pipe and although I find it to be the best on the market, so far, I doubt if I shall buy anymore. The tones are very accurate, clear and undeniably good BUT the brass plate with the printed notes to identify each reed does wear off much too easily. You can see on the photo of my old and new Tombo. I had tried to source a replacement brass plate in the UK but could only find one in the United States and after shipping costs, was more expensive than a new Tombo Pitch Pipe, which I duly purchased. It would be a good development if that was addressed and possibly far better if the notes were also embedded or embossed into the plastic structure.

    Nice distinct tone

    Most pitch pipes I've tried in the past have a harmonica type sound, almost a blurring of notes. This one, although not quite an oboe sound is pretty good. The best I've ever heard. It's worth paying that little extra. Also has a nice carry pouch supplied. Very pleased.
