Magnum Dynalab ST-2 Review
I have yet to mount the antenna on the exterior of my house. So, currently, the ST-2 antenna is hanging upside down (this doesn't matter to reception) in a closet on the second story of my house. However, this location is next to a window, high, and probably not very far from where the antenna will be mounted. Our house is located on a ridge with little to block signal reception nearby. Awesome FM antenna
My home is in a bit of a swale were my antenna reception is blocked by higher ground, other houses and many tall trees and my reception was very limited only being able to pull in the strongest stations. I heard that this was one of the best out there and decided to purchase one. WOW it pulls in so many more stations now and pulls them in and locks them down - very clean sound with no drift. Spendy but amazing!
I had a 7' long yagi style antenna which had blown down. I live on the coast with high winds. I didn't want to mess with a large antenna again so I bought the ST-2 . I mounted it on top of the old mast. It turned out that the reception is as good or better for the stations within 30 miles. The yagi did have the advantage with the long distance stations if it was aimed at them. Sound in the mountains
I live on the other side of an non active volcano from the radio stations. One of them i couldnt even get . Now they are all there with my mcintosh mr78. After the wife went to work all i did was listen to radio like I’ve never heard it before. The st-2 is standing in the corner behind my jbl L7 ! I was going to put it on the roof but why risk the lightning strikes. .. i wonder if i can put one on my camper for in the sticks ?..

Bad review form - nice antenna....
The antenna appears to be a very high quality assembly and was shipped in very well protected packaging. I cannot say anything about it's performance because I'm still in the process of installing a mounting mast; consequently all I CAN say from a very cursory 'experiment' is the radio reception WAS improved but still marginal. Thus, I hope to improve the equipment's ability to perform. This 'review' form, however, gives no options for anything but 'good' and 'bad'...no, 'I don't know'...an at this point, I don't. Well made, but there are better antennas for less money.
I compared the Magnum Dynalab to the Centerfire/US Dipole half-wave vertical dipole. The dipole gave me better signal strength on weak stations, and is less than half the price of the M-D. Both are very well made.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Best indoor FM antenna available
The performance of the Magnum Dynalab ST-2 is (IMO) indistinguishable from the discontinued Fanfare FM antenna. And both of those perform slightly better than the long discontinued Day-Sequerra FM antenna. (I own all three.) Currently, the Magnum Dynalab ST-2 is the best performing indoor FM antenna available.
