50171 & 50175 power supply, they could have done better.
The 1 amp transformer and throttle system works, but just. The system make just enough power for one locomotive barely. Any lighting other equipment on board your train limits its performance. It works, but like I stated just barely. LGB should have started with a two amp power supply, that would have ample for almost any locomotive they build or sell, and then some. An indicator to show power on to the throttle or at least the transformer would have been a handy thing as well. On the plus side the throttle works smoothly, and can give nice starts and stops.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
