  • Vibra-Tite VC-3 Threadlocker

Quite a different type of threadlocker than what you may be used to, but very handy for some applications where traditional threadlockers aren't quite suitable. In my particular case, I needed something with the ability to allow some readjustment over time, but still hold well. Vibra-Tite VC-3 does that, but also allows you to prepare fasteners in advance so they are ready to use any time. No other thread locker, that I know of, does this as well. This is not an inexpensive product, but is unique, and in the small quantities that I normally require, will last me a long time.

  • resembles the original sealer that was on the bolt i was removing

I used this to add sealer to a transfer case screw that i was removing that had an orange sealer like this one. So far so good. No leaks. You put it on and let it sit for about 10 minutes then you put the screw back in. This keeps the screw from backing out. So far so good. I haven't checked to see if the screw is still there, but i will do so in the near future. Looking at it though i haven't seen any leaks indicating that the screw is backing out so i guess the sealer is doing it's job. I would recommend it.

  • Very TACKY, in the right way!

In the past I could only use Three methods of locking up a nut and bolt connection; Lock washer, not good on many applications and easily scratches surfaces, Aerobics: any of them, they hold real well except in areas that get real hot, like gun barrels, and they (depending on the strength, don't come off when you do want them off, very easily). Third Teflon tape, good when applied properly wound in the right direction and in the right amount of thread length. But, it comes off easily (which may be desirable), not reusable very well, and then there is now a Fourth method! This product; VC-3 .....! It can be put on the whole length of the thread or a little at the locking point, it can be screwed on and off many times, making it perfect for applications that need be removed and then later reinstalled without having a "locker " material handy or nearby. It holds against vibration well, as in an AR-15 multi firings for a precision Scope mounting and remounting. I really love this product. Take off the scope and mount, clean the rifle, reinstall the scope and mounting and Bob's your Uncle!! And it puts up with the heat!!

  • Excellent Alternative To Loc-Tite

Before buying my AR rifle scope QD mount I'd never heard of or used this stuff. For my AR15 this is a much better alternative to keeping screws tight then Loc-tite IMO. Vibra-Tite doesn't turn hard but stays some what soft and turns to more like a rubber and not hard like Loc-tite. You can almost paint this onto the threads your covering and it turns semi-solid within a minute or two. After screwing the screw in you can actually unscrew it and re-use the same screw multiple times without having to put anymore Vibra-Tite on it. Again this doesn't turn into a solid cement but a soft rubber which fills the gaps in between the screw threads and keeps the screw solid and tight. There's no having to worry about the screw being permanently stuck or having to heat it up to get it un-stuck like Loc-tite. Since using this stuff I've now ordered another tube and I now use this on all screws on my AR15 and no longer have to worry about Loc-tite locking up my screws. This is highly recommended for any semi-auto weapon and many other applications.

  • Good product

Vibratite VC-3 is a plasticized or rubberized version of Loctite. Unlike Loctite, which is semi-permanent, Vibratite is reusable. By that I mean that if you use this product on gun screws or muzzle threads you can assemble and disassemble the parts a few times before you need to re-apply. Loctite is a single use product. You need to use hand tools with considerable force and /or heat to remove Loctite and usually only need regular tools or a small strap wrench to remove items secured with Vibratite VC-3.

  • A product that works at a good price.

If you want to stop screws from loosening due to vibrations, this is the product you want. It is easy to apply and last a very long time. Holds screws tight in spite of significant vibrations. I highly recommend it.

  • Vibra - Tite VC- 3 expensive, but worth it when working with / around plastics

This is a great thread lock compound for working with or around plastics - plastics that other thread locking compounds would damage. It is more expensive than other locking compounds that are applied wet and then cure / harden...

  • As advertised.

This is the first product of this type I have ever used. As it stands, I have no need to look any further. Good stuff.

  • New to me as I've only used traditional ...

New to me as I've only used traditional threadlock, bu5 it dries very fast, and seems to hold well without being hard glue.

  • Great Product

Their biggest competitor only goes down to 1/4in. Too large for optic applications. Use sparingly on small screws.
